Some great soccer coming up this weekend in the Region as well as at Newton Park in South Bend at the St. Joseph's Invitational, which includes girl's teams from Carmel, Hamilton Southeastern, St. Joseph's, Fort Wayne Luers, Mishawaka Marian, Culver Academy, Evansville Reitz, Indianapolis Cathedral, and Region teams from Chesterton, Lake Central, Munster, Portage, and Valparaiso. Eight games are being played at 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM ET on Friday night, and another 16 games on Saturday at 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 2:30 PM, and 4:30 PM Eastern Time.

Our next soccer broadcast on Regional Radio Sports, live on 1230 AM WJOB and live and archived on rrsn.com will be this Saturday morning, as the Highland Trojan Boys host the Griffith Panthers in a key early-season Northwest Crossroads Conference matchup. Pregame show to start at 11:15 AM, with kickoff to follow at 11:30 AM.
