(Notre Dame, IN) The Holy Cross Athletic Department would like to announce the hiring of Brian Blondell as the new Head Coach of the Holy Cross Baseball Team.
Brian comes over from Elkhart Memorial High School where he was the Head Assistant Baseball Coach in charge of the development of the pitching staff over there. He is also the North Central Area Director of College Prospects of America where he works with high school athletes in preparing for the collegiate level both academically and athletically. He is also the Director of Player Operations forthe Michiana Scrappers Travel Baseball Program.
Prior to Elkhart Memorial Brian was the Head Assistant Baseball Coach at St. Joseph's High School from 2007-2011. He was the Head Baseball Coach at at Riley High School from 2005-2007.
Blondell graduated from Bethel College in 1998 with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing degree. As a pitcher on the baseball team Blondell was a three year letter winner and a NCCAA All-American Pitcher.
"I am very excited for the opportunity to coach at Holy Cross College. I believe we can truly build a winning program both on and off the field. I am very thankful for the opportunity that Holy Cross has given me, and I am very excited to get started with the team in the off-season," said new Head Coach Brian Blondell.
Blondell currently works for KeyBank where he is in outside sales. He is married to his wife Christi, and has three kids Alexis who is ten, Bryce who is nine, and Brenden who is five.
