Here is a look at games involving Indiana college football teams this week. All games are Saturday and times ET.
Purdue (1-5) at Michigan State (5-1) (Noon): The Spartans escaped with a 35-31 win against Purdue in 2010. Former Terre Haute South quarterback Danny Etling passed for 185 yards and one score in the Boilermakers’ 44-7 loss to Nebraska.
Adrian (Mich.) (5-1) at Trine (3-3) (1 p.m.): The Bulldogs downed Trine, 10-3, last year. Adrian allowed only 69 yards rushing in a 41-6 decision over Alma. Andrew Dee had 205 yards passing and one touchdown in the Thunder’s 41-27 loss to Albion.
DePauw (1-4) at Ohio Wesleyan (3-2) (1 p.m.): The Tigers are out to avenge a 26-22 loss to Ohio Wesleyan last season. Matt Hunt passed for 321 yards and three touchdowns in DePauw’s 45-21 win over Oberlin. The Battling Bishops ran for just 47 yards in their 38-13 loss to Wabash.
Drake (3-3) at Butler (5-2) (1 p.m.): The Bulldogs rolled to a 45-20 win over Butler last year. Drake racked up 480 yards of offense in a 27-6 win over Davidson. Trae Heeter ran 21 times for 134 yards and two touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ 35-14 win over Campbell.
Kenyon (Ohio) (4-2) at Wabash (5-0) (1 p.m.): The Little Giants blanked Kenyon, 49-0, in 2011. The Lords came up with three turnovers in their 20-16 win over Hiram. Anthony Stella rushed for 189 yards and two touchdowns in Wabash’s win over Ohio Wesleyan.
Taylor (3-2) at Robert Morris (Ill.) (4-3) (1 p.m.): This is the first meeting between the Trojans and the Eagles in football. Jonathan Keith threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns in Taylor’s 47-7 win against Concordia. Robert Morris had 272 yards of offense in a 28-25 loss to St. Francis (Ill.).
Anderson (0-5) at Franklin (3-2) (1:30 p.m.): The Grizzlies cruised to a 69-0 win over Anderson last season. Johnell Wortham had eight carries for 114 yards and one touchdown in the Ravens’ 44-23 loss to Hanover. Jonny West tied a school-record with seven touchdown passes and 408 yards in Franklin’s 55-27 win over Mount St. Joseph.
Bluffton (Ohio) (1-5) at Hanover (1-4) (1:30 p.m.): The Tigers clawed their way to a 40-13 win against Bluffton a season ago. Bluffton surrendered 518 total yards in its 34-26 loss to Rose-Hulman. Dexter Britt rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns in Hanover’s win over Anderson.
Ball State (6-1) at Western Michigan (0-7) (2 p.m.): The Cardinals escaped with a 30-24 overtime win against Western Michigan last year. Willie Snead caught 10 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-24 win over Kent State. The Broncos managed just 38 yards rushing in a 33-0 loss to Buffalo.
Indianapolis (5-1) at William Jewell (Mo.) (1-5) (2 p.m.): The Greyhounds raced to a 48-3 win against William Jewell a year ago. Connor Barthel passed for 247 yards and three touchdowns in Indianapolis’ 45-7 win over McKendree. The Cardinals managed just seven first downs in a 45-7 loss to Truman State.
Indiana State (1-5) at Illinois State (2-4) (2 p.m.): The Redbirds flew past Indiana State, 17-10, a season ago. The Sycamores threw only 82 yards in a 17-14 loss to South Dakota. Illinois State surrendered 258 yards on the ground in its 59-21 loss to Youngstown State.
Morehead State (KY.) (2-4) at Valparaiso (1-5) (2 p.m.): The Eagles soared to a 76-24 win against Valpo last season. Morehead State tossed for 334 yards in a 45-36 win against Campbell. Tanner Kuramata had 170 yards receiving in the Crusaders’ 35-21 loss to Mercer.
Marian (3-3) at William Penn (Iowa) (3-3) (2 p.m.): The Knights claimed a 28-14 win against William Penn back in 2008. Robert Gibson found the end zone twice in Marian’s 27-23 win over Siena Heights. The Statesmen exploded for 485 yards rushing in a 65-0 win over Waldorf.
St. Joseph’s (5-1) at Missouri S&T (2-4) (2 p.m.): The Pumas are looking to make amends for a 41-22 loss to Missouri S&T. Penn product Gary Yeoman earned Great Lakes Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week with his 3.5 quarterback sacks in St. Joe’s 34-26 win over Quincy. The Miners gave up minus-14 yards rushing in a 41-21 win against Kentucky Wesleyan.
Manchester (1-5) at Earlham (1-4) (2:30 p.m.): The Spartans rolled to a 45-9 win over Earlham in 2012. Logan Haston threw for 128 yards and two touchdowns in Manchester’s 27-12 loss to Defiance. The Quakers have been outscored 225-95 this season.
Indiana (3-3) at Michigan (5-1) (3:30 p.m.): The Wolverines were a 42-35 winner over Indiana back in 2010. Tre Roberson tossed for 122 yards and two scores in the Hoosiers’ 42-28 loss to Michigan State. Michigan’s 40-34 four-overtime loss to Penn State was the longest game in school history.
Saint Francis (Ind.) (4-1) at Saint Francis (Ill.) (4-2) (5 p.m.): This is the first meeting between the two clubs on the gridiron. The Saints racked up 501 total yards in a 45-20 win over St. Xavier. The Fighting Saints passed for 322 yards in a 28-25 win over Robert Morris.
Southern California (4-2) at Notre Dame (4-2) (7:30 p.m.): The Fighting Irish held on for a 22-13 win over USC last season. The Trojans tallied 546 yards of offense in a 38-31 win over Arizona. Tommy Rees threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns in Notre Dame’s 37-34 win over Arizona State.
