The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is La Porte running back Charles Salary.  On Friday night the Slicers won their first game of the year defeating arch rival Michigan City 48-21.  In the contest Salary rushed 27 times for 353 yards eclipsing Carlton Austin’s previous record of 319 yards set in a sectional win over Elkhart Memorial in 2008.  He also scored five touchdowns on runs of 15, 21, 42, 44 and 26 yards.  After the game, Salary was quoted as saying “I’m just grateful, the credit goes to my offensive line and fullback.  They worked their tails off and hard work pays off.”

The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male/female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
